Our work environment includes:**Duties:** - Operate cash register and handle customer transactions - Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or concerns - Maintain a clean and organized checkout area - Sanitize and disinfect the register area regularly to ensure a safe and hygienic environment - Accurately process payments, including cash, credit cards, and electronic payments - Calculate and provide correct change to customers - Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately - Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies **Skills:** - Strong customer service skills to provide a positive shopping experience for customers - Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently - Basic math skills to calculate totals, discounts, and change - Knowledge of food service regulations and proper food handling procedures (if applicable) - Sales skills to promote products or services at the checkout counter - Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Familiarity with retail math concepts, such as calculating discounts or sales tax Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
