Full-Time 2nd Shift Yard Jockey (CDL Required)
M&R Transportation LLC is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Full-Time 2nd Shift Yard Jockey to work at Sonoco Paper Products.
This position is responsible for safely moving trailers throughout the yard using an automatic yard truck and maintaining communication with the dock departments to ensure efficient trailer movement.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Weekend overtime available for those interested
Responsibilities
- Safely move trailers between the shipping docks and designated yard locations.
- Operate an automatic yard truck in a safe and efficient manner.
- Communicate clearly with shipping personnel and coworkers using a two-way radio.
- Follow all company and customer safety procedures.
- Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the yard truck.
- Keep accurate communication regarding trailer locations and movements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Current DOT Medical Card required.
- Must be able to operate automatic transmission vehicles only (no automatic restriction on CDL).
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
