Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Server, Hostess, Busser, and Food Runner, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences in a lively and welcoming environment. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly as a Hostess, manage reservations using OpenTable and seat guests efficiently to optimize the dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system ensuring special requests are noted and communicated clearly to kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating knowledge of drink service standards and upselling techniques.
- Buss tables by clearing dishes, resetting tables quickly and efficiently while maintaining sanitation standards in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Process cash transactions accurately while managing sales transactions through POS systems; handle cash and credit card payments responsibly.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, offering recommendations for wine or spirits pairings, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude; ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation standards.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail; excellent time management skills are essential.
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately; understanding of sales transaction processing is required.
- Commitment to food safety standards and sanitation practices; experience with food handling and kitchen support is beneficial.
- Hospitality background with experience in bussing, hosting/hostess duties, serving, or food running preferred; must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed.
