Dave Mungenast Collision Assistance Center is hiring a motivated and organized Repair Planner. The Repair Planner is responsible for appraising vehicle damage to determine the cost of repair for insurance claim settlements.
Other duties include:
- Examining damaged vehicles to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
- Estimating cost of labor and parts to repair or replace damaged items.
- Ensuring that all parts necessary for repairs are ordered in a timely manner, inventoried upon receipt, and charged out on the proper repair order.
- Contacting customers upon receipt of parts and scheduling work in a timely and efficient manner.
- Determining feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
- Preparing insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
- Estimating cost of repainting, converting to special purposes, or customizing undamaged vehicles.
- Maintaining a professional appearance.
- Maintaining a clean, professional, and safe work environment.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Work Environment:
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Must have proficient computer knowledge and typing skills.
- This position requires frequent movement (i.e. bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and getting in and out of vehicles).
- Minimum 2 years estimating experience.
- Courteous, effective, and professional communication with customers and staff is required.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
- The position may require completing tasks outdoors under varying climate conditions.
Pay starts at $70,000 per year.
