Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting to promote independence and well-being.
- Support medication management by administering prescribed medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Document care activities meticulously in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards; update care plans regularly.
- Provide emotional support through active listening, companionship, and engaging activities that foster social interaction and mental stimulation.
Requirements
- Experience working as a Home Care Aide or in related settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home health environments is a plus, but not required. We have a Caregiver Development Program!
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams, residents’ families, and other caregivers while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.
