Snow Season- Experienced CDL Salt/Brine Truck Driver (Rochester, NY)
R.M. Landscape is a growing company with a large portfolio of commercial properties in which we provide superior snow and ice management services throughout the Rochester, NY area. We are seeking Experienced CDL Salt/Brine Truck Drivers that are reliable, committed, efficient, and that can work independently without much instruction. The ideal candidates will be responsible for a designated truck route for commercial salting and will be expected to use all proper snow management safety guidelines to operate and drive salt trucks to various client sites. This role requires record-keeping, regular vehicle maintenance, and secure load handling. We value reliability and commitment and offer a competitive package to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:

Will be expected to operate trucks with GVW over 26,000 pounds

Must be able to work with site/route managers to clear snow and manage ice per company standards

Must be able to safely and properly handle salting properties

Must maintain detailed driving and delivery logs

Must perform regular inspections of vehicle and any necessary maintenance to vehicle

Must ensure load contents are always secured

Must have experience with loader operating for salt refilling purposes

Must be familiar with navigating routes with GPS and/or routing systems
Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age (required)

Must have a Valid CDL-A license (required)

5+ years’ experience in Snow and Ice Management (required)

Communication skills: exceptional written and verbal communication skills (required)

Must commit to a weather dependent work schedule; with flexibility on additional hours such as holidays, overnights, daytime, weekday, weekends, and overtime (required)

Ability to follow all safety guidelines and use all safety equipment (required)
Schedule, Travel, Working Conditions, and Location:

Seasonal: Hours Vary, is an on-call/weather dependent schedule (open availability preferred)

Working Conditions: Ability to perform physical work (strength and endurance to lift and shovel snow), work outdoors in extreme cold and wet weather conditions, and walk long distances as well as stand for long periods of time (required)
