We are seeking an energetic, initiative-driven, full-time tech or assistant to join our team and assist our veterinarians with the care and treatment of patients in the clinic and/or in the field. Responsibilities
Qualifications candidates should possess:
- 1 year of experience as a vet tech or assistant.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work well with a team.
- Have good communication skills.
- Work on your feet all day and be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain dogs, cats, and other species safely and effectively. Equine experience or additional animal handling skills are considered advantageous.
- Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring proper animal restraint and handling at all times
- Administer medications accurately under veterinarian supervision.
- Support laboratory work such as sample collection, processing, and basic diagnostic testing to aid in patient diagnosis
- Handle responsibilities including appointment scheduling, client communication, and maintaining detailed medical records
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
