We are looking for a new executive chef to lead our small but dedicated team at our beautiful French restraurant, St Genevive, located in Southwest Minneapolis.
This is a working chef role that requires hands on cooking every shift, a chance to put what you've learned into play and reap the rewards of working with James Beard nominated chef, Steven Brown.
Bread, pastry, butchery, charcuterie, line cooking, ordering, menu costing, events, specials, menu changes...you name it and you will have the opporunity to shine in these areas.
Besides cooking skills you will also need to be experieiced in Toast, Opsi, Google Drive, as well as scheduling and ordering apps, but the real skill you will need is leadership and mentoring to bring this young and enthusiastic team to new heights - all while producing great food in a timely manner.
Other talents we are looking for are mechanical knowledge of basic kitchen equipment and the commitment to maintaining the facilities to a high standard.

The work week is 50+ hours, 5 days typical but varied, depending on the season, events, staffing levels, etc. We are open for dinner and brunch only, Tuesday - Sunday and the schedule is usually 12-10, more on Saturday, less on Sunday as we are closed for dinner that evening.
