Duties
- Perform a wide range of hair services such as cuts, color treatments, styling, and hair extensions with precision and artistry
- Provide personalized consultations to understand client preferences and recommend suitable styles or treatments
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness according to industry regulations
- Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process payments efficiently
- Assist clients with retail product recommendations and upselling to enhance their salon experience
- Apply advanced techniques such as eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading when requested
- Mentor junior team members in hair styling techniques, customer service excellence, and store management practices
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with comprehensive knowledge of sanitation standards
- Proven experience in hair styling, coloring, and extensions; familiarity with straight razor techniques is a plus
- Strong understanding of color theory for creating customized looks for diverse clients
- Proficiency in using salon management software like MINDBODY for scheduling and retail sales tracking
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to perform retail math calculations for upselling products confidently
- Knowledge of store management principles and front desk responsibilities is advantageous
- Experience with retail sales strategies including upselling and client retention techniques
- Skilled in hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care services is preferred but not required
