HEMPSTEAD DRUGS is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in the Hempstead, NY area. We are an established pharmacy looking to hire an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who is willing to learn and grow in our company.
Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for assisting the Dispensary Manager with the day-to-day operations of the dispensary. This includes stocking, rotating, restocking, labeling, and stocking medications in compliance with all state and federal regulations. The Technician will also be responsible for assisting patients with product selection and questions. The Technician will also be responsible for assisting patients with product removal from the inventory and proper labeling of their product. The Technician will also be responsible for assisting patients with any inventory control tasks that need to be completed daily. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is eager to learn and grow in our company.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Work Sundays
- Able to stand/walk up to 8 hours per day while operating motor vehicles which includes using computer, computer peripherals, and office equipment
- Spanish speaking
- Must have excellent customer service skills while at the dispensary
- Must have excellent computer skills including ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

- Pharmacy technician experience: 1 year (Preferred)
