About the Role
A well-established Los Angeles law firm is seeking a motivated and talented Associate Attorney to join its legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build their litigation career in a collaborative environment while handling meaningful matters and working closely with experienced attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Manage assigned caseloads from initial intake through resolution.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, negotiations, and other legal proceedings.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case strategy and litigation matters.
- Review, analyze, and interpret contracts, evidence, discovery materials, and case-related documentation.
- Monitor and meet court deadlines, filing requirements, and other procedural obligations.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
- 1–3 years of litigation or relevant legal experience preferred.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Proficiency with Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar legal research platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work full-time in an in-office environment in Los Angeles, CA.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
