Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to preschool and toddler age groups, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where appropriate
- Create engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development, social-emotional skills, and early intervention strategies
- Manage classroom environments effectively by applying strong classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster positive behavior
- Work directly with children to support their individual needs, including special education requirements and child development instruction
- Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing standards to monitor progress and inform instructional adjustments
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support child welfare and ensure a holistic approach to each child's growth
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and uphold all safety protocols related to childcare and daycare experience
Skills
- Extensive experience in preschool teaching, toddler care, or daycare environments with a focus on early childhood education principles
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques suitable for young children
- Strong communication skills for working with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
