Position Overview
We're seeking dedicated Wound Care Nurse Practitioners to join our team. Create your own schedule—providing advanced wound care with no weekend or holiday call.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive wound evaluations (size, depth, tissue type, exudate, periwound condition).
Develop and update evidence-based wound care plans per current clinical guidelines.
Apply advanced modalities including negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), advanced dressings, biologics, and debridement techniques.
Monitor for infection and adjust treatments as necessary.
Practice under a collaborative agreement with supervising physicians, per Texas scope-of-practice regulations.
Educate patients and caregivers on wound-care techniques, nutrition, and pressure-injury prevention.
Accurately document all patient encounters and treatments in our EMR system.
Ensure strict adherence to state regulations, CMS guidelines, and agency policies.
Required Qualifications
Active NP license in Texas with prescriptive authority
National NP certification (ANCC or AANP)
BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of wound-care experience preferred (prior experience as a medical-surgical nurse or ICU nurse will be considered)
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within assigned metro areas
Compensation & Contract Details
Pay: $150 per patient visit
Schedule: Monday-Friday coverage; (no weekends or holidays required)
