We are seeking a passionate and dynamic, part-time, Community Enrichment Coordinator to lead initiatives that bring educational programming to underserved communities across SE Wisconsin, with a focus in Milwaukee. Job Location
Milwaukee, West Allis, Wauwatosa, office/home hybrid and onsite program visits, flexible hours that will include after school and some evenings.
Responsibilities and Duties
- The Community Enrichment Coordinator and the “Realize Your Dream” efforts assist in advancing music education and performance skills, appreciation, and awareness, especially in areas affected by disparities and inequities in arts education.
- Assist the Executive Director in meeting and scheduling potential youth sites and work closely with the site managers on schedule and needs
- Initiate regular evaluations, surveys, and observations of both residencies, workshops, and teaching artists
- Track any grant requirements and goals specific to RYD, and metrics/measurements that may be needed upon regular residency evaluations
- Seek out, hire, train, and schedule quality teaching artists and initiate training/refresher courses
- Manage a cohort of teaching artists, offering constructive feedback and guidance
- Maintaining the quality of programming and education standards with lesson plan creation and revisions
- Coordinate the scheduling and promotion of RYD Workshops (including Sensory-Friendly shows) on KFW tour, selecting outreach leaders, and facilitate the training of troupe members
- Collaborate and coordinate with Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra with the ACE program
- Oversee, manage and document the Community Enrichment budget with oversight from Executive Director
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably in Education (though Non-profit and Arts-related degrees considered)
- Teaching and musical background, either in a school setting or performing arts platform
- Additional hours may be available to serve as a Teaching Artist outside of the CEC role
- Great with organizational skills and juggling multiple schools and programs
- Data management for reporting is essential for grant metrics
- Comfortability with Microsoft Office, Google, Constant Contact, and Canva is a plus
- Strong communicator via email and phone with site coordinators and teaching artists
- Ability to relate to youth of all ages
- Salary: Based on skill level and background
- Some WI-based travel is required
