AtWork Group is hiring a Quality Assurance Coordinator on behalf of a manufacturing client in Winston-Salem, NC.
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for helping maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) within a textile manufacturing environment. This role also assists the QA Manager with essential quality activities such as trend analysis, reporting, and customer submits. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-driven, detail-oriented, an effective communicator, and a solid problem solver.
Key Responsibilities
- Procedure and document control
- Oversee and coordinate internal audits
- Oversee internal and external calibrations
- Maintain and track Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA)
QA Lead Coordination (duties listed but not limited to)
- Maintain and analyze trend data for yarn and fabric to identify improvements
- Prepare weekly quality reports and present findings
- Release tested/approved lots for shipment
- Prepare customer submits and maintain logs
- Prepare and send Certificates of Analysis (COAs) as required/requested
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Textile Technology, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience with ISO 9001 and manufacturing quality required (textile knit/dye/finishing experience preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced math skills (fractions, metric conversions, percentages, equations, etc.)
- Computer literacy sufficient to understand testing and inventory programs
- Good eye for color; must be able to pass the Munsell Color Perception Test
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Ability to multi-task
- Works well independently or as part of a team
- Conscientious and dependable
Work Environment & Potential Physical Demands
- Temperature-controlled lab and office areas; concrete floors; some chemical smell
- Uncontrolled manufacturing areas regarding temperature and humidity
- Ability to lift/move rolls weighing up to 20 lbs without assistance
- Ability to climb stairs to office and manufacturing areas
- Must wear PPE in areas where required
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
