Front Desk Receptionist Duties, Responsibilities & Skills
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area, conference rooms and pantry is tidy and presentable, with all necessary material (e.g. pens, forms, brochures, coffee, etc)
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail, deliveries and packages
- Keep log of all package deliveries (FedEx, UPS)
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk and monitor logbook
- Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
- Schedule meetings in conference rooms
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
- Support Office Manager and other departments
- Maintain file room neat and tidy
- Maintain the copiers and fax machines in working order and stocked with paper
- Manage the Office Supply Ordering and distribution of those supplies.
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines, printers and copiers)
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Demonstrate friendliness and proper phone etiquette with every customer.
- High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus
- Vibrant personality
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
