Job Opening: Lead Medical Assistant – Kansas City Institute of Podiatry (Wound Care Specialty)

We are a fast-paced, patient-focused podiatric clinic dedicated to advanced wound care and innovative treatment methods. We are currently seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team and support our mission of delivering exceptional care using cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with a team of medical assistants to ensure smooth clinical operations
- Assist podiatrists during examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, including wound care equipment and supplies
- Perform wound care procedures under supervision (debridement prep, dressing changes, etc.)
- Accurately document patient information in the EMR
- Manage patient flow and ensure a high level of patient satisfaction
- Assist with coordination of vendors and ensure inventory of medical supplies and advanced wound care products
- Maintain compliance with clinic protocols and healthcare regulations
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a clinical setting; wound care or podiatry experience preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Compassionate, professional, and a team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate within a healthcare team
Preferred:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Other): Additional pay offered for bilingual candidates
