Duties
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards for toddlers and Pre-K children
- Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety through attentive child supervision and classroom management
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and milestones to foster strong partnerships
- Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare
- Administer first aid or pediatric first aid as needed, ensuring immediate care for minor injuries or health issues
- Collaborate with team members to support inclusive education practices for children with disabilities or special needs
- Uphold all health and safety protocols including child care standards, hygiene practices, and emergency procedures
- Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development instruction, behavior management, and classroom techniques
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare centers or preschool settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Child and Pediatric First Aid) required; ongoing training encouraged
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom experience with effective classroom management skills
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to work actively with children through engaging activities and supervision
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential
- Passion for nurturing children's growth through teaching experience with toddlers and preschoolers is desired
