Position Summary
MBI is seeking a Partnerships & Advancement Coordinator to support the VP of Strategic Programs in building and maintaining relationships with vendors, sponsors, and industry partners. This role blends relationship management, development, and event coordination, and offers close exposure to partnership strategy. It's a strong fit for an organized, detail-oriented professional who wants hands-on experience across development, advancement, and operations at a growing life sciences nonprofit. This position reports to the VP, Strategic Programs.
MBI is focused on establishing Central Massachusetts as a global biotech and biomanufacturing hub through our programs that are focused on incubating early-stage life science companies, connecting local residents to transformational careers, and advocating for the region’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the VP, Strategic Programs with donor and funding opportunity prospecting
- Develop and manage relationships with Preferred Vendors, Event Sponsors, and Industry Partners
- Track sponsorship pledges, payments, and renewals, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
- Lead grant writing campaigns to foundations, government, and potential donors.
- Coordinate events, campaigns, and outreach programs from planning through execution
- Partner closely with the incubator operations team to coordinate events and programs
- Function as a contributor on a small team supporting all other duties as assigned to make the team successful.

Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in development, sales, or event coordination
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; SmartSheet and CRM or donor-database experience a plus
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sponsor, donor, and partner information
- Comfortable working directly with senior leadership and external partners
- Interest in life sciences, biotech, or nonprofit/incubator environments a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
