Description:
The role of a Machine Operator in the Screen Department is ideal for someone with hands-on experience operating printing machines, who takes pride in producing high-quality printed materials. You'll be an essential part of a team committed to precision, efficiency, and craftsmanship. The wage for this position is $16 to $18 an hour depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and monitor a printing machine in accordance with job specifications.

Adjust machine settings to maintain consistent quality and efficiency throughout the run.

Load substrates and manage ink levels and print alignment to meet production goals.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

Inspect finished work for quality standards including clarity, registration, and consistency.

Record production information and report any mechanical or quality issues to the supervisor.

Collaborate with press assistants, quality control, and the production team to optimize workflow.

Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area.

Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with color matching, ink handling, and setup for specialty jobs.

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain is a plus.

Experience working in a fast-paced print shop environment.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

2+ year of experience operating a machine required.

Understanding of screen printing or offset processes and mechanical operation preferred.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Physical Requirements:
