Job Overview
One of the most highly regarded neurosurgery programs in Oregon is currently seeking a motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in Medford, OR.
This is a premier opportunity for a provider looking for mentorship and stability. The surgeons and current Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) have an excellent history of training and retaining PAs for the long term. While experience is valued, the team is willing and eager to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong clinical aptitude.
Ideal candidates will have a background in a surgical field (either as a practicing PA or through specific clinical rotations) and must be comfortable transitioning between outpatient, inpatient, and Operating Room (OR) settings.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Surgical First Assist: Provide first-assist support in the OR on a variety of spinal and cranial cases.
- Clinical Care: Manage approximately a 50/50 split between surgery and clinic duties.
- Patient Management: See patients for pre-op assessments and post-op follow-ups in the clinic; conduct hospital rounds.
- Call Schedule: Participate in a rotating call schedule (approximately 1 in 5 weeks).
- Note: A stipend is provided for on-call duties.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday standard work week. No weekend requirements outside of the assigned call schedule.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Ability to obtain a Physician Assistant license in the State of Oregon.
- Experience: Previous experience in a surgical specialty is preferred.
- New graduates with clinical rotations in relevant surgical subspecialties are encouraged to apply.
