Specialty Treatment Coordinator – Oral Surgery and Orthodontics

Can you explain complex dental treatment in a way that feels clear, personal, and easy for patients to understand? Are you comfortable building trust, discussing financial options, and helping patients take the next step toward the care they need?
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Specialty Treatment Coordinator to support our oral surgery and orthodontic offices throughout the San Antonio area.
This is a traveling position that requires regular travel between designated dental offices. You will work closely with patients, doctors, clinical teams, and referring providers to ensure each patient receives a smooth, informed, and supportive experience from referral through treatment acceptance.
This is more than a scheduling role. You will play an important part in helping patients understand the value of treatment, overcoming concerns, coordinating next steps, and supporting the growth of multiple specialty offices.
What You’ll Do
- Connect with oral surgery and orthodontic referrals within 24 hours.
- Build relationships with patients and referring providers.
- Present treatment plans, procedures, timelines, insurance information, and financing options.
- Help patients feel informed and confident about moving forward with care.
- Follow up consistently with patients who have not scheduled treatment.
- Track referrals, patient communication, appointments, and case acceptance activity.
- Help maintain productive specialty schedules across multiple offices.
- Follow up on cancellations and no-shows to help keep schedules full.
- Process patient payments and assist with claims follow-up.
- Partner with doctors and clinical teams to ensure treatment recommendations are communicated accurately.
- Travel between various dental offices throughout the San Antonio area.
