Someone in this role would typically have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and normally possess 5-10 years of experience. This position can be hired at any level in our professional career framework, depending on business need at the time of hire.
**International travel may be required. Possible straight time overtime and a 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off) **
Required
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the field or related area
- Strong knowledge of extravehicular activity (EVA), space suits and the ability to use lessons learned from historical EVA and vehicle systems (background in)
- Background in systems engineering
- Demonstrated history of understanding complex systems such as those under development for Artemis missions
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills such as speaking with and presenting to NASA programs, control boards, suit vendor teams, and vehicle vendor teams
Strong history of reviewing technical documentation and providing meaningful feedback.

- The candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work independently to identify issues, prioritize responsibilities, and establish relationships with personnel on NASA teams, suit vendor teams, and vehicle vendor teams.
5+ years of human spaceflight experience including 2+ years of direct experience with extravehicular activity equipment, extravehicular systems and/or space suits.

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
