Duties
- Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Serve meals to residents or patients with professionalism, courtesy, and a friendly attitude
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dining spaces, and food handling equipment through proper sanitation practices
- Support food handling, bussing, and cleaning duties to ensure a hygienic environment
- Follow proper food safety procedures including temperature checks, storage protocols, and sanitation regulations
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
- Collaborate with dietary team members to deliver timely meal service while managing time efficiently
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy meal periods
- Experience in food handling, serving, cleaning, and kitchen operations required
- Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach toward residents or patients
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietetic principles is a plus
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
