Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance about store products and promotions
- Operate the cash register (POS system), handle retail sales transactions accurately, and process cash, credit, or digital payments with precision
- Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times
- Upsell products and services by suggesting relevant items during customer interactions to enhance sales opportunities
- Conduct product demos when appropriate to educate customers about features and benefits
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist with merchandising to maintain an attractive shopping environment
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves and conducting stock counts
Requirements
- Previous experience working with POS systems, cash register operations, or retail sales transactions is highly preferred
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting is a plus
- Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and active listening
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
- Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising standards, and grocery store operations is advantageous
- Experience with customer service excellence, including phone etiquette and problem resolution
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise as needed, and work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
