Company Overview:
Surefire Coffee Company is a local coffee shop with multiple locations across the Middle Tennessee area. We are seeking a skilled and versatile Facilities Manager / Craftsman to join our team and help maintain the coffee shops and airstreams.
Additionally, our sister company is a coworking and office space called Three One Three with 3 locations in the Nashville metro area. We are looking for someone who can help with onsite maintenance requests as they come up.
Position: Facility Manager / Craftsman
Location: Multiple locations in the middle Tennessee area (Nashville, Old Hickory, Brentwood, Bellevue)
Job Summary: This role is crucial in ensuring the overall upkeep, appearance, and functionality of multiple Surefire Coffee Co. locations and Three One Three office buildings. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, skilled, and detail-oriented individual with a strong passion for creating and maintaining inviting, well-maintained spaces for our members and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs in both the Surefire Coffee Co. shops, airstreams, and Three One Three office buildings, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general facility care tasks.
- Regularly inspect the premises to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
- Install, repair, and maintain fixtures, furniture, equipment, and appliances as required.
- Collaborate with the management team to prioritize and execute maintenance projects.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of events, meetings, and gatherings within the spaces.
- Ensure the safety and compliance of all physical aspects of the facilities, including emergency exits, fire alarms, etc.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors when necessary for specialized repairs or projects.
- Keep track of inventory related to maintenance supplies and tools; notify management when reordering is necessary.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in shared areas, including common spaces, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Set up, troubleshoot, and diagnose functionality of security systems which include cameras and electronic door locks.
- Ensure basic maintenance and repair tools/supplies are stocked and available for use in each site location.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests by addressing their inquiries and concerns related to maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or craftsman.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong proficiency in various maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to maintenance work.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings, if needed or in case of facility emergencies.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to a positive and collaborative environment.
- Certification, training, or experience in a relevant field (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical work).
- Experience in a similar role within an office space, public institution, hospitality, or service industry.
- Familiarity with eco-friendly and sustainable maintenance practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $50k with bonus opportunity
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Expected hours: 40 per week
- Potential weekend hours required, paid time & a half
Requirements:
- Reliable personal transportation required (mileage reimbursement available)
- Ability to physically perform general labor tasks indoors and outdoors in all seasons, lift tables, and boxes, move furniture, and use ladders and power tools, etc.
- Ability to pass a background check
