Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, surgical, and preventive treatments.
- Take and process dental radiographs in accordance with applicable regulations and office protocols.
- Perform duties within the scope of practice for a Registered Dental Assistant, including coronal polishing, fluoride application, sealants, impressions, and temporary restorations, where permitted by state law and authorized by the supervising dentist.
- Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare dental materials, instruments, and equipment for patient care.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative instructions, and preventive dental care.
- Record patient medical histories, treatment notes, and other clinical documentation accurately.
- Ensure infection prevention and control procedures are followed at all times.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and notify management of ordering needs.
- Maintain dental equipment and coordinate servicing as needed.
- Assist with patient scheduling, treatment coordination, and administrative tasks when required.
- Deliver compassionate, professional care while ensuring patient comfort throughout treatment.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable state dental board regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with the dental team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising dentist or practice manager.
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
