Job Title: Fire Life Safety Director (F-89 Required)

Job Description
We are currently seeking a professional and reliable Fire Life Safety Director for a commercial building located in New York City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, visitors, and staff while ensuring compliance with all fire and life safety regulations.
This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively during emergencies.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 4:00 PM - 12:00am
- Overtime is expected and mandatory when requested
Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce fire and life safety procedures throughout the building
- Conduct fire safety inspections and maintain required logs and documentation
- Respond to emergencies, alarms, and incidents in a calm and professional manner
- Coordinate evacuations and emergency procedures when necessary
- Work closely with building management, tenants, and emergency responders
- Ensure compliance with NYC fire safety regulations and building policies
- Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the property
Requirements
- Valid NYC Fire Life Safety Director certification (F-89 required)
- Valid NYS Guard License
- Z-89 candidates are also welcome to apply
- Previous experience in a commercial building preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods
- Must be dependable, punctual, and flexible for mandatory overtime
