Job Functions:
- Prepare daily first aid stations and equipment with necessary supplies and assure cleanliness.
- Administer prescribed first aid treatment at the site of an emergency for injured individuals at the park.
- Abide by the Pennsylvania State Basic Life Support (BLS) Protocols.
- Establish scene control, ensure scene and patient safety, assess patient, determine the care needed, initiate treatment appropriate to the condition of the patient. Communicate to Park Managers
- Stay with patient until EMS arrives.
- Complete proper and accurate documentation of all patient’s contacts and/or treatments
- Consistently practice safe work habits to include, but not limited to, the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting unsafe conditions
- Act as an ambassador for the park, answering Guests questions in a positive and helpful manner.
- Assist guests with wagons and wheelchairs retrieval.
- Making rounds at the park looking for unsafe conditions or guests in distress
Basic Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age on date of applying.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license to drive a golf cart
- Must possess the following certifications: Pennsylvania Emergency Response or technician, CPR and AED
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be detail oriented and have clear written communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and be self- motivated to always perform all aspects of the job.
- Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally, including delivering safety instructions/directions, verbal cues, and speaking clearly into park radios.
- Must have the ability to always remain alert and vigilant.
- Must display a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and a professional image.
- Ability to handle stressful working conditions, and emergencies, and accept a high degree of accountability.
Job Demands:
- Must know and abide by Pennsylvania State Department of Health/EMS Division
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions including, but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.
- While performing the duties of this position, the team member will regularly (2/3 or more of the time) walk for prolonged periods and talk to guests.
- Ability to lift, push, pull and /or carry up to 50lbs.
