Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Estimator and Project Manager specializing in Commercial Remodeling, Painting, and HVAC Services to join our dynamic team. This role involves preparing accurate project estimates, managing project execution from inception to completion, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction estimating expertise, project management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes to drive successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Estimating & Proposal Development
Review project plans, specifications, drawings, bid documents, and customer requirements.
Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
Prepare proposals and quotations for:
- Commercial Remodeling, Commercial painting projects, Commercial HVAC projects, Maintenance and facility improvement projects
Assist in developing project scopes and budgets.
Evaluate project risks and identify value-engineering opportunities.
Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
Ensure estimates meet company profitability and margin objectives.
Client & Project Support:
Conduct site visits and customer meetings as required.
Assist customers in defining project scope and requirements.
Coordinate project handoff meetings with operations teams.
Assist with project scheduling and resource planning.
Support project managers and operations leaders throughout project execution.
Maintain positive customer relationships and communication.
Vendor & Subcontractor Management:
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and trade partners.
Verify scope completeness and proposal compliance.
Assist in negotiating pricing and procurement opportunities. Business Development Support
Assist leadership in identifying project opportunities.
Support proposal presentations and customer meetings.
Build relationships with general contractors, facility managers, property managers, and industrial clients.
Participate in networking and business development activities when appropriate.
Qualifications:
Required
2–5 years of experience in estimating, project coordination, construction management,
painting, HVAC, maintenance, or a related commercial construction field.
Working knowledge of commercial construction practices and terminology.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Preferred:
Experience with commercial remodeling, painting, maintenance, or HVAC projects.
Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, Buildertrend,
or similar platforms.
Knowledge of mechanical systems and HVAC construction.
Experience working with general contractors and negotiated projects.
Associate's degree, technical training, or construction-related education.
