Optician Wanted — Busy, Patient-Focused Optometry Practice
We're a small, close-knit optometry practice looking for an experienced Optician to join our team. We see a steady stream of patients and pride ourselves on friendly, personalized care — if you like being busy but hate feeling like a number yourself, this could be a great fit.
What You'll Do
- Help patients select frames and lenses that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and budget
- Take accurate measurements (PD, seg height, etc.) and verify finished eyewear for fit and optical accuracy
- Adjust, repair, and fit eyeglasses
- Explain lens options (coatings, materials, progressive vs. single vision, etc.) in plain language
- Process insurance claims and handle billing for eyewear purchases
- Maintain inventory of frames
- Provide excellent customer service to a loyal, returning patient base
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an optician
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine warmth with patients — this is a relationship-driven practice
- Familiarity with practice management/EHR software a plus
- Knowledge of insurance billing (VSP, EyeMed, etc.) a plus
