Jinny’s Music Studio is a premier classical music organization with two locations in San Jose, CA. One location is dedicated to music education, lessons, and inventory sales, while the other is designed for professional recording sessions, rehearsals, recitals, events, and intimate venue rentals.
Our recording studio features a Steinway Model B piano, acoustically treated spaces, flexible room layouts, movable acoustic panels for tonal shaping, and a professional audio and video setup. Our growing microphone collection includes Neumann, AKG, Telefunken, and other professional studio microphones.
We are committed to excellence, community, and supporting musicians at important moments in their artistic journey. Many of our clients come to us for auditions, competitions, career-defining recordings, recitals, and personal milestones. Their success is our highest priority.
Position Overview
Jinny’s Music Studio is looking for a part-time Sales & Marketing Assistant to help grow studio bookings, recording sessions, recital rentals, rehearsal rentals, teacher partnerships, memberships, private events, and inventory sales.
This is a sales-first role with light marketing and studio support. The main priority is helping convert inquiries into paid bookings, following up with leads, promoting our services, and creating a professional client experience from first contact through the completed session or event.
The right person is friendly, organized, comfortable talking to people, and interested in music, events, education, or the arts.
Main Responsibilities
- Follow up with leads by email, phone, text, and booking platforms
- Help convert inquiries into recording sessions, rehearsals, recitals, memberships, private events, and venue rentals
- Reach out to musicians, teachers, parents, schools, churches, local arts groups, and community organizations
- Explain studio services, pricing, availability, packages, and booking options clearly and professionally
- Track inquiries, follow-ups, client notes, and sales opportunities
- Assist with inventory and product sales
- Support basic marketing, including social media posts, Google Business updates, event promotion, and community outreach
- Help promote studio services, special offers, teacher partnerships, and upcoming events
- Help host rehearsals, recitals, recording sessions, or private events when needed
- Open, close, and reset the studio for scheduled bookings
- Keep the studio clean, organized, welcoming, and professional

Compensation
This position includes base hourly pay plus 10% uncapped commission on qualified sales.
As studio bookings and sales grow, additional hours and expanded responsibilities may become available. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the studio and be part of building a larger music, recording, and event community in the Bay Area.
