Blue Circle Rehab and Nursing is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Restorative Nurse Aide (RNA) / CNA to join our clinical team. In this hybrid role, you will work directly on the floor providing high-quality CNA care and a point person for accurate resident weight monitoring, playing a critical role in tracking nutritional health and preventing clinical decline.
Clinical Tracking & Weight Management
- Weight Monitoring: Schedule, obtain, and document accurate routine, weekly, and monthly resident weights.
- Equipment Calibration: Verify the accuracy and calibration of wheelchair scales, bed scales, and mechanical lift scales.
- Discrepancy Reporting: Re-weigh residents immediately if a significant weight variance or fluctuation is detected.
- Alert Communication: Report drastic weight changes promptly to the Charge Nurse and Director of Nursing.
Standard CNA Floor Duties
- ADL Care: Assist residents with bathing, toileting, showering, and comprehensive personal hygiene.
- Meal Assistance: Deliver trays, feed dependent residents, and meticulously track food and fluid intake.
- Vital Signs: Measure and log blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and body temperature.
- Call Lights: Respond quickly to resident calls to ensure safety and comfort across the unit.
Job Qualifications
- Certification: Current state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a floor CNA in long-term care preferred.
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift, push, pull, and transfer residents safely up to 50 pounds.
