- Pay: $127,000 - $150,000 annually; exceptional candidates may be considered above range
- Schedule: Monday - Friday with flexibility for weekend coverage

Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Minimum of 7-10 Years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of HR management or senior leadership experience with strategic responsibility
- Proven experience working in a unionized environment, including labor relations, grievances, collective bargaining agreements, and contract administration.
- Strong employee relations experience, including performance management, investigations, corrective action, conflict resolution, and employee grievances
- Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws, including wage and hour, ADA, FMLA/CFRA, workers' compensation, and other applicable employment regulations
- Experience directly leading, coaching, and developing HR staff while establishing performance expectations and accountability
- Experience overseeing multiple HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, training, and workforce planning
Preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
- SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent Human Resources certification
- Previous experience working with SEIU or a similar labor union
- Previous Human Resources leadership experience within healthcare, community health, nonprofit healthcare, or another highly regulated environment
- Experience using ADP for HR operations, performance management, and/or recruitment
- Culture Amp or similar employee engagement/survey platform experience

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for the Human Resources function, aligning HR programs, policies, and priorities with organizational goals and continued growth.
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR team while establishing clear performance expectations, accountability standards, and opportunities for professional development.
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor to executive leadership and managers, providing guidance on complex employee relations, workforce planning, organizational needs, and employment-related risk.
- Lead employee relations matters including workplace investigations, performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, complaints, and disciplinary processes.
- Manage labor relations within a unionized environment, including grievances, collective bargaining agreements, labor-management meetings, contract administration, and union negotiations.
- Coach and train managers on effective employee counseling, performance documentation, attendance management, overtime practices, meal-period compliance, and consistent application of organizational policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and California employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour, ADA, FMLA/CFRA, workers' compensation, and other applicable requirements.
- Oversee talent acquisition and workforce planning strategies to support organizational growth, improve internal recruiting capabilities, and address current and future staffing needs.
- Monitor recruitment, employee relations, workforce, and other HR metrics to identify trends, strengthen processes, and support data-informed decision-making.
- Oversee the development, review, implementation, and consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and practices throughout the organization.
- Provide strategic oversight of compensation, benefits, workplace safety, workers' compensation, and other HR programs to support compliance, employee retention, and organizational effectiveness.
- Lead training, leadership development, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives that strengthen manager effectiveness, accountability, and workplace culture.
- Partner with leadership and legal counsel, when appropriate, to address sensitive, complex, or high-risk employment matters while ensuring appropriate documentation and resolution.
- Continuously evaluate HR systems, processes, and service delivery to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, consistency, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.
