Sales Rep - College Sports (Part-Time, Evenings)
Athlete Zero is a college athletic recruiting agency. We help high school athletes get recruited and earn college roster spots and scholarships by handling the entire recruiting process for them so the athlete can focus on improving their grades and getting better at their sports.
The Role
We're hiring a College Recruiting Advisor to be the first voice families hear when they come to us.
Dozens of athletes reach out to us daily asking for help with their recruiting process. Your job will be to get on a 10-15 minute call with the athletes to understand where the athlete is in their recruiting journey, figure out whether we can genuinely help them, and get the right families booked onto a follow-up call with our senior team.
You are not cold-calling, and you are not closing deals. You're having real, human conversations with motivated families and guiding the right ones to the next step.
Day-To-Day:
- Take scheduled calls with inbound athletes and their families (evenings)
- Ask sharp questions to understand the athlete's sport, level, grade, goals...
- Assess whether we're a fit and clearly walk them through next steps
- Book qualified families onto their follow-up call with our team
- Keep clean notes in our CRM (we'll train you on the tools)
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time: 3/4 hours per day in the evenings (5 days per week)
- $15/hour
- Independent contractor, fully remote
- US-based applicants only
Who Are We Looking For?
- You understand how college athletic recruiting actually works: NCAA divisions, eligibility, the recruiting timeline, scholarships, transfer portal...
- You're warm and confident on the phone; families trust you quickly
- You listen more than you talk and can steer a conversation without pushing
- Reliable and coachable, and you hold your evening hours consistently
- Availability on weekends
Bonus Points If You:
- Played college sports, coached, or went through the recruiting process yourself
- Are bilingual in Spanish and English
