Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of food items with attention to quality, safety, and presentation, following established recipes and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food prep areas, dining spaces, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food safety management practices including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Support food industry operations by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring smooth kitchen workflow during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, quick service & fast food restaurant environments, or café settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions
- Strong customer service skills with an energetic approach to serving guests
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking between cashiering and food prep duties
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totaling
- Previous experience in grocery store or retail sales transactions is a plus but not required
