Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks, cargo vans, or sprinter vans to complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Follow established routes and schedules, utilizing mobile devices for navigation and communication
- Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and safety standards during all driving activities
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition and report any issues promptly
- Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit, adhering to safe lifting practices and weight handling protocols
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or owner operator status with a personal vehicle suitable for cargo delivery (box truck, cargo van, sprinter van)
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or courier services with a focus on manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
- Knowledge of manual handling techniques, material handling equipment operation (pallet jacks, forklifts), and safe lifting practices
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and route driving best practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Ability to operate mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and documentation purposes
- Prior experience with load & unload procedures and adhering to safety standards in a logistics environment
