Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and skilled Property Maintenance Technician to assist with the management of fifteen commercial properties in Knoxville, TN and surrounding areas. The properties include traditional office buildings, warehouses, shopping centers, and medical buildings. You would be working alone with minimal supervision and be responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repairs as noted below.
Responsibilities
- Perform property checks weekly inspecting landscaping and building condition.
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, minor repairs to plumbing or electrical.
- Oversee, manage, and conduct larger renovation tenant move in/move out projects in a timely manner.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance such as painting, minor carpentry, drywall repair, light bulb replacement, door repair, ceiling tile replacement, etc.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used in compliance with operational standards.
- Picking up trash, blowing leaves, and monitoring curb appeal of properties.
Requirements
- Experience dealing with basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other property maintenance items.
- Good communication skills with management offering updates on projects daily through email, text message, and phone calls.
- Ability to be proactive and motivated while working alone without extensive supervision.
- Excellent people skills to deal with contractors and tenants.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles safely.
- Pass a background and drug test.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
