Position summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support the safe and reliable operation of production equipment and facility systems at a paper-converting operation in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Install, repair, and overhaul production equipment and machinery, including rewinders, sheeters, and trimmers.
- Maintain motors, gears, compressors, pumps, clutches, brakes, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic electrical circuits and production equipment controls.
- Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, cleaning, and lubrication.
- Complete light machining, welding, fabrication, and parts repair as needed.
- Read and follow equipment manuals, schematics, specifications, written instructions, and manufacturers' directions.
- Respond promptly to equipment problems to help minimize production downtime.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Three to five years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Working knowledge of basic industrial electrical systems and circuits.
- Ability to read schematics, equipment manuals, and technical instructions.
- Welding, fabrication, or light machining experience is beneficial.
- Experience in paper converting, printing, packaging, or a similar manufacturing environment is preferred.
