Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Commercial Cleaning Subcontractor operating as a 1099 independent contractor to join our dynamic cleaning team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning and maintenance services across various commercial facilities. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, restrooms, lobbies, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Handle janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces to ensure sanitation standards are met.
- Operate floor buffers, polishers, and other floor care equipment to maintain pristine flooring conditions.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment safely following proper lifting practices.
- Maintain safety protocols by handling chemical agents safely, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Perform routine facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained, cleaned after use, and stored securely for optimal performance.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests or concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial roles with a strong understanding of janitorial procedures.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards across various environments.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools efficiently.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks combined with safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards in all areas.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively in a flexible schedule environment.
