Description
As the Manufacturing Finance Leader, you will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and financial processes for the company's manufacturing division. Reporting to the Group Finance Director based in Europe, your role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, strategic financial planning, and regulatory compliance.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, and executive leadership to provide financial insights into project performance, capital expenditures, and overall business performance.
Responsibilities
Financial Close & Reporting:
- Lead and oversee monthly financial close process for accurate reporting
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Manage Blackline reconciliations and system uploads
- Present financial results to leadership and participate in review meetings
Forecasting, Cash Flow & FP&A:
- Lead 13-week cash flow forecast and support rolling forecasts
- Analyze variances between actuals, forecast, and budget
- Provide financial insights and recommendations
Compliance, Tax & Regulatory Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
- Manage relationships with external advisors and auditors
Project & Capital Accounting:
- Track CAPEX and project budgets in collaboration with engineering
- Monitor project costs and asset capitalization processes
Process Improvement & Systems:
- Implement process improvements and drive efficiency in financial systems
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Provide guidance to accounting staff and act as finance partner
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA preferred, MBA a plus
- 8–12+ years of experience in accounting/finance
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- ERP and financial systems experience with tools such as D365
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with BI tools
