Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as TOAST POS
- Prepare and serve food items efficiently, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Handle retail sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food preparation and service areas
- Assist with food safety management, proper food handling, and sanitation protocols
- Support team members with bussing tables, resetting stations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests promptly without compromising quality
- Engage with guests to promote specials or new menu items, contributing to overall sales goals
Experience
- No previous serving experience necessary
- Familiarity with POS systems such Toast is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability in food preparation, serving, cashiering, or retail sales transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience working in a restaurant, café, or grocery store setting is beneficial
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
