Job Title: Staff Accountant (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Remote (Jacksonville, FL 32256)
Compensation: Up to $68,500 annually (equivalent of $33/hr)
Schedule: Full-time
Overview:
We are seeking a Staff Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting a Jacksonville-based team. This is a fully remote position, but candidates must be located in or near the Jacksonville, FL area. This role will support day-to-day accounting functions and assist with month-end close in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:-
Perform general accounting duties including journal entries and account reconciliations

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed

Analyze financial data and ensure accuracy of financial records

Assist with variance analysis and reporting

Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Qualifications:-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

2+ years of accounting experience

Strong understanding of general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close

Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus)

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
