Job Summary:
Chief complaint, history, medications, perform preliminary screening (lensometry, peripheral vision, IOP, color, etc.), perform diagnostic testing ordered by physician (OCT, Visual Field, Topography, fundus photography, etc.), refraction, assist Ophthalmologist with minor procedures, maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment, clean and stock exam rooms, and perform other related duties. Must be able to thrive in a high-pressure environment. This position will be cross trained to cover technician as well as Contacts.
We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician with expertise in:
· Contact lens fittings
· Contact lens dispensing
· Patient education for contact lens wear and care
Qualifications/Requirements:
Ophthalmology: 1 year (Required)
Experience with contact lens fitting and dispensing is required.
Attention to detail and well-organized
Ability to work efficiently and keep pace
Must be a team player and dependable
Must be reliable and flexible
Positive demeanor and professional appearance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
