SUMMARY
Duties will be to oversee Herrschners Material Movement from unloading trucks, locating stock, pulling stock and keeping bins filled. It will require monitoring movement of inventory in and out of all areas and ensuring it is properly documented.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficient and accurate use of PDA’s for product movement, selecting boxes, assigning boxes, making box tags, combining skids, adjusting bins, etc.
- Understand and manage the stock report to ensure optimization of pulls and minimize order holds.
- Develop and manage an efficient system for fork lift pulls optimizing time and minimizing pulls per item.
- Ensure a good FIFO system is maintained of all goods.
- Operate all lift equipment with an awareness of safety for other equipment and coworkers at all times.
- Consistent consolidation of skids throughout the warehouse for optimization of warehouse space.
- Work at continuous improvement and optimization of inventory movement, product flow and work area.
- Must be a team player and move as necessary to prioritize immediate needs get addressed timely for the best possible experience for our customers. Monitor and limit order holds.
- Must promote and maintain a clean and safe environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic math and accuracy in recording data
- Forklift Operation and certification considered a plus
- Hands on experience with inventory management and transaction is beneficial
- Physical stamina and ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to handle and lift up to 35 pounds
- Good communication skills always promoting a positive work environment
- Team player & Problem Solver
- Working Knowledge of Computer Programs for entering data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- High School Diploma
