Moving Technician
Position Overview:
Lyons Restore By Arrow is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Moving Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for safely packing, moving, loading, unloading, transporting, and storing residential and commercial contents during restoration and relocation projects.
The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, organized, and committed to handling customers’ belongings with care while maintaining a professional attitude at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Moving & Transportation: Safely move furniture, boxes, household goods, equipment, and other contents between customer locations, company vehicles, and warehouse storage areas.
- Loading & Unloading: Properly load, secure, transport, and unload customer belongings while minimizing the risk of damage.
- Packing & Protection: Wrap, pad, pack, label, and protect furniture, electronics, artwork, fragile items, and personal belongings for transportation and storage.
- Pack-Outs & Pack-Ins: Assist with on-site pack-outs, relocations, deliveries, and pack-ins at residential and commercial properties.
- Warehouse Support: Help receive, stage, organize, store, locate, and prepare customer contents for delivery or return.
- Inventory & Documentation: Assist with labeling, photographing, documenting, and tracking customer belongings using the company’s digital inventory system.
- Furniture & Contents Handling: Carefully handle furniture and personal property, including disassembly and reassembly when required.
- Vehicle & Equipment Care: Safely operate and maintain moving equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, carts, pallet jacks, moving blankets, straps, and other approved tools.
- Truck Preparation: Keep company vehicles clean, organized, properly stocked, and ready for scheduled jobs.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow company safety procedures, proper lifting techniques, PPE requirements, OSHA standards, and job-site safety guidelines.
- Customer Service: Maintain a professional, respectful, and helpful attitude when working in customers’ homes, businesses, and restoration sites.
- Teamwork: Work closely with other technicians, supervisors, project managers, and warehouse personnel to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain clean and organized warehouse areas, aisles, storage spaces, equipment, and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in moving, furniture delivery, warehouse operations, restoration, packing, logistics, or a similar hands-on role is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to safely lift and carry at least 45 pounds repeatedly and assist with heavier furniture and equipment as part of a team.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and digital inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Comfortable working in warehouses, residential homes, commercial properties, and restoration job sites.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments that may include stairs, heat, cold, dust, and changing job-site conditions.
- Interested in learning, developing new skills, and growing within the company.
Work Environment:
This is a hands-on and physically active position. Work locations may vary between our warehouse, customer homes, commercial properties, restoration sites, and other locations throughout the service area.
The role requires frequent lifting, carrying, bending, standing, walking, loading, unloading, and moving of furniture and customer belongings. Schedules may vary depending on project demands and customer needs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
