Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team for our daycare cafeteria. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, food preparation, cleanliness, kitchen management, and ability to work with children. The Cook will prepare meals and snacks for 30-70 children, daily.
Responsibilities:
-Open facility in the morning with another staff to receive children before breakfast
- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet the daycare requirements
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Ocassionally cover breaks at naptime, if needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cook or similar role
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and culinary techniques
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication with children and teamwork abilities
- Food Handle Certification
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Dietary aide experience
- Fine dining background
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
