Job Overview
As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining an inviting store environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their design needs, maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the store, setting appointments, and customer service. This position requires a detail-oriented, friendly person with a passion for helping our designers create beautiful results for their clients.
Duties
● Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their inquiries.
● Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
● Opening/Closing the store
● Assisting the designers with walk-in clients and in-store appointments
● Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
● Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor and stock areas.
● Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries via phone or email.
● Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and provide support as needed.
● Appointment setting for the designers
Experience
● Previous experience in retail sales is strongly preferred
● Supervising experience is a plus, as it demonstrates leadership capabilities within a retail setting.
● Experience with fabric, sewing, or interior design is a strong plus as it can quickly lead to further growth
● Demonstrated professionalism in a custom environment working face-to-face with clients
● Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers and team members alike.
● Experience in high-end designer showroom environments is advantageous but not required
In this full-time position. The individual must be available these hours: Mon-Sat 9:30am-5:30pm. We are closed on Sundays. There will be one weekday off, the job is 5 days per week full-time.
