About the Role
Habitat for Humanity Greater Peoria Area is seeking a motivated, hands-on team member for our ReStore as a Warehouse Associate. This position focuses on warehouse operations, donation processing, and customer assistance with loading and unloading. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and enjoys physical work while contributing to a mission-driven team. This role offers opportunities for professional growth within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload donations efficiently and safely from vehicles and delivery trucks
- Assist customers with carrying purchases to their vehicles and loading items
- Sort, organize, and move merchandise in the warehouse and sales floor areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and store environment (including restrooms and common areas as needed)
- Provide friendly, helpful support to shoppers and donors
- Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers, modeling professionalism and a positive attitude
Skills & Qualifications
- Warehouse, retail, or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer and math skills
- Dependable, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
