Part-Time Bartender — The Woodshop Listening Room, Chattanooga, TN.
The Woodshop is looking for an experienced part-time bartender who loves music, loves people, and understands that working a show is different from working a regular bar shift.
We are a listening room first, which means the night revolves around the artist, the audience, the sound, and the experience. This is not the right fit for someone who only wants to sling drinks, stand around, or treat live music like background noise. Craft cocktail experience a plus. Bartending at events or weddings a plus.
We need someone with real bartending experience who can move quickly, stay calm, read a room, handle money responsibly, and make guests feel welcome without disrupting the show. You should be comfortable working with an all-ages crowd, including families, older guests, serious music fans, touring artists, and regulars who care deeply about the room.
The right person is a huge music fan, has great hospitality instincts, shows up on time, works clean, communicates well, and understands that every shift is part service, part event, part community.
This is a part-time position only. It is best for someone who wants a few solid shifts in a music-forward environment, not someone looking for full-time hours or a casual side gig they may or may not take seriously. Or for someone more comfortable in a dive-bar atmosphere.
You should apply if you:
- Have bartending experience 3+years preferred
- Love live music and respect listening-room culture
- Enjoy working with all ages
- Must have a current Tennessee Alcohol Servers License or be prepared to aquire within 30 days.
- Have basic food and beverage safety guidelines, hygiene, and understanding.
- Can move fast without getting sloppy
- Are reliable, friendly, and calm under pressure
- Can handle money, tabs, closing duties, and guest questions with confidence
- Understand that hospitality matters as much as the drink in the glass
- You enjoy working side-by-side with owner/operators - this is a family business and the owners are the managers.
- Love making old fashioned's, and simple but curated/crafted cocktails

- Have never bartended before
- Do not care about live music
- Need full-time hours
- Are uncomfortable working around families or older guests
- Struggle with punctuality, communication, or follow-through
- Think “part-time” means “low commitment”
- Need constant supervision to stay busy
The Woodshop is a small room with big standards. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of the show, part of the team, and part of what makes this place special.
The Woodshop is in St. Elmo in Chattanooga, TN (it is a huge plus if you've visited us before)
